0.2 CHARACTER INFO
[attr="class","MIsubheaderbox"] [attr="class","MIsubheadertxt"]
please read all information thoroughly
+ general [attr="class","MItxtbox"] After registering, you may begin creating your character, which is a simple, one-step process. Simply submit your finished application in the Characters board, POST A LINK IN THE NOTIFICATION THREAD, and wait for a staff member to stamp off your application. For those eager to get into the groove of things, fear not! As soon as your application is finished, regardless of staff showing up yet, you're free to begin plotting in both the discord and on forum. Just remember that you may not RP in any boards until your character is approved. [break][break] If you are still in the process of making your application, please put [WIP] in the title so Staff knows not to look at it just yet. If staff happens to catch you writing out something that may hold you back in the long run, they may message you about it to hopefully solve the matter before you get too far into the application. [break][break] We don't require that you use our standard template, but if you'd rather not take the time to personalize your application, you can find the template in our Character Creation Board. There will also be a guide on how to complete the application properly. [break][break] At their soonest possible chance, a staff member will review all applications that are finished and either stamp it off, or request that you make some changes. If the latter happens, don't worry! In most cases, the only time edits will be asked of you is if you mention something that either goes against our AU lore, canon lore that we adopted, or simply is not right in this setting. [break][break] When a staff member approves your application, they will move it to the appropriate board. After that, it's your choice on what you do! If you haven't already, it'd be a wise idea to start up a Plotter Thread that basically advertises your character to other players. This is also a good place to find out what other players are doing and see if any of their characters interest you. + member groups [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Not every person in the Lower World is an adventurer. Some provide aid, while others are different in other ways. Myth features four member groups you may choose from when creating your character. [break][break] Note: there is no limit to how many characters a member can make, however please keep your own limit in mind. [break][break] Adventurer Adventurer's are brave individuals who progress through the Dungeon killing monsters that spawn to retrieve the black crystals and magical elements they drop upon elimination. The job has grown to be much more than that however, some being honor bound to protect the lives of ordinary citizens, while most aim to find glory within the treacherous walls.
Supporter Supporters are individuals that find a stronger calling in assisting adventurers as they traverse the Dungeon. They offer advice, carry items, and participate in battles as they can. Most supporters are not as strong as Adventurer's but can offer what strength they can. Because Supporters also receive a gods blessing, they will level and obtain skills just like an Adventurer. Because they are a supporter, they can never go into the dungeon solo.
God A long time ago, the gods descended from heaven to the Lower World, bestowing mortals with a blessing, giving them the strength to fight in the Dungeon and grow. Gods are a limited member group, meaning that any god created must be pre-aproved by staff through discussions prior to the app process. All gods create familia's that adventurer's and supporters are allowed to join. Members are only allowed to make god's if approved by staff. To avoid overflow in familias, staff may put a hold on all future gods at any given time. Eastern Orthodox Deities are not allowed; any already created gods can be seen here
Citizen Even in Orario are many normal citizens. Your waitress's, shop keeps, wealthy families, etc. Normal citizens are not allowed to go into the dungeon without proper authorization from the Guild. Those in the Citizen group have the option of moving into both adventurer and supporter groups later on if desired after receiving a gods blessing.
+ Levels and Chapters [attr="class","MItxtbox"] As you rp, you collect stories and events of your characters progression and growth as an individual. A collective of these events is known as a Chapter, and is key to leveling up on Myth. The current level cap is 6 on Myth. [break][break] Normally, all adventurers and supporters start off as level 1 (see note below about starting levels). To level up and receive the benefits of achieving that level, you must retell your characters progression in summary format, in which staff will review and either approve or deny your level. GO TO THIS BOARD if you feel that your character has achieved growth and/or is deserving of a level up. Please follow any guidelines posted inside. [break][break] Starting levels; typically everyone starts at level 1, however to eliminate the feeling of grinding, members are allowed to create ONE character starting at level 3 at max. THOUGH, THIS MAY NOT BE YOUR STARTING CHARACTER! In order to create a level 3 (or 2) character, you must have participated in one IC event OR have been active for two months prior. Please consult a staff member about any starting level 3 characters. [break][break] Note: Upon achieving level 2, a character is awarded a custom title from their familia God. All gods must contact staff with an APPROPRIATE title for their familia member. If a god cannot comply with this, or is absent, the member may decide on the title themself or ask for staff to step in. + Attributes [attr="class","MItxtbox"] On the Character application, there are attribute levels. Attribute levels must reflect your character appropriately. If your character is more inclined to be dexterous, they would have more % in dexterity. Simply said, your character can not be good at everything. If a character is good at magic, and can craft, they must not be good with weapons. Vice Versa. This is applied with physical attributes as well on the ability panel. Below is the listed attributes and how they effect a character. [break] [break] These attributes are never to be used in comparison to another characters'. They only reflect the personal character and have no rate of comparison. Meaning that if player one's strength bar is higher than another persons, does not automatically make them stronger than player two. It just means that player one is more strength based than speed based. [break][break] NOTE: A character should never have 100% in any attribute field, as there is always room for improvement, especially from lower levels. Please respect staff feedback regarding attributes. [break][break] - Weaponskill: How adept is your character at using weapons?
- Magic: How attuned to magic is your character?
- Craftsmanship: Is your character a skilled artisan?
- Strength: This is raw power, how strong are they?
- Dexterity: How good is your character at using their hands? Sleight of hand, using rope, etc.
- Intellect: The measurement of how smart your character is. This correlates with magic.
- Vitality: Can your character take a hit?
- Agility: How quickly can your character move?
- Skill Use: Skill use refers to developmental abilities. How well can your character use the skills they have?
