[nospaces] [attr="class","MNYwrapper"] [attr="class","MYNwrap"] [attr="class","MYNlyric"] you only truly die when you give up on being alive ..... [attr="class","MYNtopimg"] [attr="class","MYNlyric"] or if i kill you [attr="class","MYNtriangle"] [attr="class","MYNpostwrap"] [attr="class","MYNpostbox"] Food had been brought in and Niyol was invited to eat it, but he had opted not to touch it quite yet. For those who were unconscious as long as him, they would probably dive right in. Niyol was using his magic reserves to stave that off until he knew whether or not he should be hostile. He was informed that he wasn't a prisoner, which did provide a small degree of satisfaction for him. Her own comments about his situation had confirmed what he suspected. The chains were made of ethereal steel, something that was made by mortals to bind and kill souls. The issue was that, that kind of material was bound to the soul of its creator. Niyol was weakened, but he was still a god, and should have been able to shatter the material with relatively no effort. Since he couldn't, it meant that it was bound to a similarly powerful soul- of which only one type existed. [break][break] "Well, I figured this place had weak magic supplies since it take two weeks just to get a fraction of a fraction of my magic back. But if there's a place with copious amounts of death, that would be just as good as one of these pockets of magic." Niyol said, not expecting the dungeon to be both, which, in theory, would provide double the regeneration rate. After that, Niyol would ask "Seeing as you don't have many questions for me, may I ask a few of you?" If Izanami had been okay with it, Niyol would ask: [break][break] "Are there other gods with guilds, or just you?"[break] "What do the gods have to gain by being here?"[break] "What can I expect to find in that magic place?" [break][break] If Izanami had elected to not answer a specific question, Niyol wouldn't push it. He knew that there were some things that couldn't be talked about, so he wasn't going to overstep his boundaries over an arbitrary question. With his questions answered, or not answered, Niyol would then say "Fortunately, or unfortunately, depending on your perspective, my role in the natural order has already been filled by my successor. When I go back, there's gonna be an imbalance that'll require me to kill whoever took my place. This means that whoever was meddling on this end has interfered with my world, which means, as the balancing force of finality for my world, I'm obligated to ensure this entity never gets the opportunity to do so again." If Izanami had poked fun at the idea of killing a god, Niyol would look her in the eye and say "Immortality, Omnipotence, and being Unkillable are three very different things. You know that better than anyone, Lady Death."[break][break] Niyol would stand up and walk to the window without the aid of his 'spear.' He wouldn't stagger at all, showing that he was already beginning to recover physically. Looking out, he would see that people were using horses and wagons to move their goods. Everyone was using primitive weapons, things that were optional, but inferior in his home world. 'It would be best to leave this world pure, as it already is.' he thought, deciding it best to keep the technology of earthland to himself. "You've done me a great service, Izanami. Far more that I would expect from a divine, and you have my eternal gratitude for it." he let out a sigh as he swallowed what was left of his pride "Much to the damaging of my pride, I have a favor to ask of you. I'm going to need a place to stay. It'd be time consuming to travel from the forests to that dungeon place every day. I'd imagine that those magic crystals are worth something, I'd be happy to keep some and give it to your guild." Once Izanami had responded, Niyol would say "I'll also need someone to help me find my way around, and even go in the dungeon with me- just in case. Alura would be ideal. I like her eyes, they're comforting... Don't tell her I said that. I can tell she's already got a cold spot for me after I used Konnen-Bo on her." Niyol would stop there and wait for Izanami's response. [attr="class","ALPpostwrap"] Copious amounts of death and ample magical energy? She already knew the answer, and found it amusing how his only option would require him to participate in the current mortal purpose. “ The dungeon here in this world can provide you with what you need,” she explained, “It is an entity that bares its fangs against the mortal’s here, an eternal plague that we are destined to keep in check.”[break][break] Allowing him to ask his questions, she pondered for a moment after, thinking about how best to give him the needed answers. If only he felt fit enough to give her a kiss, --that would make this much easier. [break][break] “Many gods descended from the heavens centuries ago. A guild is one way to classify the groups we form, but gods of this plane prefer to call them our ‘familia’. Mortals are our children after all,” she snickered, “As for gains? It is hard to stay. Every god has their own reasoning, but a general census, is that we would enjoy to revel in our creation from this point of view. Heaven and the pantheon are nothing but a struggle power, --some of which leaks onto the lower world.”[break][break] And she couldn’t return to heaven even if she wanted to. [break][break] “The dungeon itself is an ever changing labyrinth that appeared even before the gods left the heavens. No god is sure of where it came from, but some suspect foul play. Thus began much of the internal strife of the gods, and the decision to live with the mortals first came from the mouth of Ouranos,” she explained, contemplating on the amount of rumors many of her fellow kindred had suffered from, “The dungeon manifests monsters of all shapes and sizes, which used to come onto the surface through the entrance until Ouranos built the tower and began to regulate alongside the guild. That is where the gods blessing comes in, --as mere mortals were too weak to fight the monsters efficiently. Once they were able to defeat them easily, we were able to surplus the magic crystals that drop from their corpses.”[break][break] She sighed softly, not understanding where he had this thought that he could defeat a god, much less if a god was behind his imprisonment in the first place. Either way, she would be unable to help him remove the shackles. [break][break] However, it appeared that Niyol still requested aid afterall, to which she would happily oblige. Niyol brought an opportunity for something interesting to happen, and the goddess was not one to turn away such a favorable moment. [break][break] “I will have you registered with the guild to enter the dungeon,” she said before giving him a soft smile, “As for Alura, she does not think so ill of you, as she referred to you by name prior to me coming here,” Izanami said before chuckling at the future thought. Telling the adventurer that she would be tasked with helping Niyol would cause quite a commotion, but she knew that Alura showed intrigue. [break][break] “The secret of your true nature is safe with me, though I am sure I do not have to reassure you of that. --If you did not trust me with that much, then you wouldn’t have stuck around here, now that you are recuperating.”[break][break] Standing from the couch, the goddess smoothed out any wrinkles on her dress before walking towards the door. “I will have a room prepared for you if you want to take the time to get acquainted with the estate. Farewell.” [attr="class","ALPtag"] NIYOL

Niyol had said "Thank you, Lady Death. I have some preparations to make, so I'll let Alura know she's been promoted to babysitter on my way out." and walked over to the cart to look at the various things on it. He grabbed a piece of one of the sandwiches and began eating it on his way out, mostly as a way to keep himself grounded, and began heading towards where Alura was. He was following her aura, kind of like a dog using scent, except this was linked to her soul and not her body. When he found her, she was in some room with a bunch of dummies, one of which was getting abused by the person he was looking for. [break][break] "Well, now I'm twice as glad that ya held back on me before." he said in a joking manner. "Iza and I finished havin' our little chat, so I've got some errands to run... You've been assigned to helping me get around, so ya gotta come with me." he said in a fairly nonchalant tone. If Alura had tried to deny it, or asked for details on how that happened, Niyol would say "I'm gonna be joining up with Lady Death for a bit, and since I don't know my way around, you'll be coming with me to make sure I don't get hopelessly lost." If Alura had asked why she was chosen, Niyol would say "You seem reliable, responsible, and I already know you..." a brief pause as Niyol put on a trickster's smile "... and I like getting reactions outta you." Even if Alura hadn't shown any problems with her new task, and Niyol didn't get to tease her a bit, Niyol would turn and head to exit the room, saying "I'll give you some time to get ready. I can find my way to the entrance." [break][break] When Alura had got to the door, Niyol would be waiting there with his 'spear' propped up against the wall. He would be next to it leaning against the wall with his hands out in front him, bouncing a very small, dark blue orb from one hand to another like it were a ball. It was a wisp, a very specific type of spirit that were known for either being playful, helpful, or malicious; and luck was the only thing that determined which one would find you. [break][break] Once Alura had showed up, the wisp would vanish, turning into small particles that faded from reality, and Niyol would get off the wall. "Gonna need to head to the slums first. Izzy was nice enough to give me a place to sleep and free food, as well as a lot of info about this place. I'd feel worse than I already do if I had to ask her for a loan. There's a specific guy in the slums I needa get in touch with." If Alura asked about it, Niyol would tell her "Can't go in the dungeon with these rags. One good slash and I'm dangling in the wind, don't think that's a sight you'd wanna see. I'm gonna talk to this guy and then get some materials for some new clothes." [break][break] Niyol had begun walking out the door and would walk alongside Alura, gently twirling his 'spear' whenever there wasn't someone within slashing distance. "You know... it's kind of funny. My whole life, my people referred to anyone from outside our lands and outsiders. And now I'm here, in a place that's so far from my home that I can never contact them. It's funny because I'm the outsider, now." his tone was more serious, more... lost in thought, than it previously was. Niyol shook his head, getting the thought out his mind and returning to his prior expression which was much more relaxed. "Got no time for that. Got a personal question about you, Alura. Why'd you join up with Iz? Not that she seems like a bad person, I'm just not used to mortals and gods having such... amicable relations. So I was curious about what drove you to her." If Alura had asked about who Niyol had to talk to, seeing as he shouldn't know anyone at all, Niyol would answer "You'll see." [attr="class","ALPpostwrap"] After Alura had left the kitchens, with a mouthful of food nonetheless, she made her way to the gardens and ultimately the rec building at the other end. Inside was an array of equipment and items that could be used for adventurers to further themselves without being in the dungeon. On one of these dummies, the red haired woman began to unleash her pent up frustration. She was not mad or angry, but still conflicted with emotions that was better served in a strong punch rather than kept inside. [break][break] Controlling her breathing, Alura inhaled and exhaled in a very audible pattern before glancing towards the entrance where she was both surprised and annoyed to find Niyol standing. With the first few sentences that fell out of his mouth, the adventurer vocally displayed her irritation, “What? Why me?” she asked, not caring about how it would have made him feel. He was a stranger in this land, and was recently abducted. It would have been more like her to show some compassion and humility. [break][break] His answer was… suitable. [break][break] It seemed that he was going to be with the familia for a while, maybe even forever at that, and just like any other new person, --they needed a hand to hold. She sighed before rubbing her temples. “Okay i’ll be ready soon,” she responded before walking towards a backroom. There was her normal attire that she wore out of combat, --being nothing more than a white blouse, tight black cotton pants, a belt and her tall boots. She had planned on wearing her casual get up upon finishing her training anyway. [break][break] Pushing her hair over her shoulders, Alura exited the training room to find Niyol standing there against the wall. A slight motion between his hands disappearing before she could ask what it was. Deciding not to push the situation further, the adventurer rolled her eyes and motioned for him to follow her out of the palace. [break][break] His agenda was solid, and she couldn’t argue with his pragmatism. Though she was curious about who he intended to see, considering he was a stranger in the city; --to which she got a vague answer of course. [break][break] “I wasn’t driven to her… She found me,” Alura explained as they walked, “I was alone, my father had died, and I was working as a lackey in the dungeon for some rather dangerous adventurers. I wished for something better, and it was like she heard it… she has a soft spot for children.” [attr="class","ALPtag"] NIYOL

Alura had told Niyol the spark notes version of how she and Izanami had come together, that being that she was stuck in a shitty situation, made a wish in her heart, and like some sort of magic genie, Izanami was there. She had also mentioned that the goddess had a soft spot for children, to which Niyol looked away while saying "Must be a family trait..." under his breath. If Alura had asked about that comment of his, Niyol would say "We are, but we aren't... It's complicated." [break][break] After a short while of walking, Alura would notice something missing from her group. It wasn't her belongings, no street urchins had made a grab for those, yet... No, she was missing the very person she was there to escort. If she turned around, Alura would find Niyol staring through a glass window with red cheeks. The amount of conflict in his heart was reflected on his face as his eyebrow twitched in frustration. Once she finally came to the window to see what the god of mysteries was so entranced by, she would see it, the ultimate weapon against all enemies... It was something so destructively awesome that only the most powerful of gods could stand against it... A pen full of kittens. [break][break] It only took a few seconds before the door was opened, a soft bell sounding off, and Niyol was calmly walking into the store. "Hey, shopkeep, is it okay if I play with your kittens?" he asked in a completely nonchalant manner, as though it were normal for guys with his figure to request such a thing. The shop keeper said "Uhh... sure." but was surprised to find that Niyol was already in the pen with them, holding one while another was biting his hand with its tiny teef. If Alura had given Niyol any kind of look, he would say "Face it, this is far from the worst thing you can catch a man doing." while continuing to play with the baby cats. [break][break] Ten minutes later, Niyol was still enjoying himself with the kittens. He didn't even know that cats were a thing in this world, but the theory of infinite probability means that it was definitely possible. If Alura had tried reminding Niyol that they were going somewhere, Niyol would stand up and hold a kitten out with both his hands, the small creature letting out a soft mewling sound. "See. She doesn't wanna stop playing either." he would say while shooting a slight pout in Alura's direction. [break][break] Another ten minutes passed where Niyol was playing with the kittens, using the various toys the shop owner had. During this time the owner would pass by Alura and say "Your boyfriend really likes kittens..." in a slightly impressed tone. If Alura commented that she wasn't, the shop keeper would say "Oh. Sorry." and return to his work. Shortly after this, Niyol would get up and say "As much as I'd like to stay longer-" his attention immediately turned to something curled up in a carrying case with black fur and a ballin mane running down its back. "-Hey, what's this thing!?" he immediately exclaimed. The creature lifted its head and looked at him with slightly hateful eyes, ones that expressed how annoyed it was with him. "Hmmm?" the shop owner replied and looked in his direction. "Oh. That grouchy thing. Some rare breed or something from god-knows-where. It don't like any of the other animals, don't like me- don't like no one. Last person to buy it was a collector of sorts, went and returned her two days later." [break][break] The man paused while he got off his stepping stool and, once on the floor, asked "Say, you like animals, right?" to which Niyol nodded with a curious expression. "Well, you want her? That collector guy didn't strike me as a pet owner-type, but you seem okay." Niyol looked at the man with stars in his eyes, with so much glee that the man was ready to defend himself if Niyol tried to kiss him. "YES!" He said immediately, and the man opened the cage. Niyol reached out and grabbed the creature, hissing and flaring its mane up, and held it against his chest. "Now what to name you...?" he pondered with the animal letting out a low growl. "Hmm... Vulpes means Fox... Vulpa!" Niyol announced, like a child that just got a christmas puppy. The creature let its limbs go limp, putting on an even more annoyed expression from just how unimaginative its name was. Now, she was being held on Niyol's arm like a butler's cloth. Niyol began scratching behind its ear while saying in a sweet tone, "Don't worry, Vulpa. I'm sure we'll get along just fine." to which the creature's tail gave a light flicker before it began forcing itself not to show any signs of enjoying the ear rub. If Alura tried to touch it, Vulpa would try to bite her and let out a loud growl. [break][break] After this, Niyol would say "We should probably get going... still got a lot to get done." while making his way towards the exit, trying his best to ignore the other animals in the store. While walking, Niyol would turn around and begin walking backwards to face Alura. "So, whadda you do for fun? Saw you smacking that dummy around, you seem pretty experienced. Been fighting long, or are you just a natural?" [attr="class","ALPpostwrap"] It wasn't Izanami alone that had a soft spot. [break][break] Alura blinked once, twice even, staring at Niyol as he touched the soft animals. Was this really the man she had met earlier, the one that had pointed a weapon at her, and even thought an enemy of? She was unsure of what to make of the situation, moving inside the shop to finger one of the cages, poking at the small furball inside. [break][break] Looking away, she barely caught wind of the transaction taking place. The shopkeep giving Niyol a unique creature, who immediately bonded with the small dark.....'dragon'? Reaching into a small pocket on her rear, the adventurer removed an appropriate amount of compensation to pay the shopkeep for the creature. While he planned on giving it to Niyol for free, Alura did not care for that kind of charity and instead would pay dues as they come. Following Niyol from the shop, they would be able to continue their walk towards the far end of the city. [break][break] "I have hand a heavy weapon on my hand since I was thirteen, though at that time, it was a smithing hammer rather than a lance. After my father died, I worked as a supporter and many of the adventurers would leave me to fend for myself. I carried a spear because the reach would mean I would live..." she explained, glancing around the crowd in the meanwhile, once in a while catching a peek at Niyol and Vulpa. [break][break] "That was... four years ago now, --so not that long. Likely shorter than you have," she finished. They were getting close to their destination, the shadow of the district casting over them. The buildings were closer together, and in worse condition to the market they passed through not too long ago. "There isn't much I do for fun, --I prefer to keep my mind on a goal." So, that was it. Alura had lived the more important half of her life using a weapon to survive because she was orphaned. Well, that would explain why she didn't actually have a hobby... "That's no fun." Niyol commented after Alura told him that she didn't do anything for fun. "Sounds like my old man." Niyol then switched his tone to sound deeper, and contorting his face to scrunch it up like an old man's- clearly making fun of his father's word while saying "The pride of our people comes first, games are for children- Train to find your path, Little Breeze." he then swapped back to his normal voice. "Sometimes, games are the answer. So maybe at some point, you can make having some fun be the goal, yes?" [break][break] They went and crossed into the shitty part of town, which was easily identifiable by... literally everything around him. "Yup. Good to know the line between rich and broke as hell is still wider than the gates of tartaros itself." he sarcastically commented. He began walking while saying "When my people reach the age of adulthood, we set out with a guide to see the world. It's a tradition that lets us understand cultural differences, as well as find our purpose in life. Mine was predetermined, but I still had to go for reasons I didn't understand back then. One of the things I learned was that every city has at least one-" "HEY THERE! CRIMSON PRINCESS!" a man's voice called from an alleyway. While turning to see the source, Niyol said "-gullible con artist." under his breath. [break][break] Niyol approached and changed up his accent from Orarian to a more islander-type one. "Oi, broda. Yu call de pwince's, yeh!?" he exclaimed while approaching the man. He was sitting down at the beginning of the alley with a chopping board that had three porcelain shot glasses on it. "Yeah. The young lass seems like she's got a few coins to toss around. Wanted to see if she'd mind playing a game or two with a lowly street urchin." He shot a cheeky smile at Alura. Niyol immediately replied "De pwince's not plae no games. She 'av too mach g'win on ta plae, reel sad, ah?" Niyol then pulled the spear from his back and got on one knee, looking at the board with a curious expression. He kept Vulpa in his other arm, still looking ticked off, and asked "Wha sotta game dis is, ah? How yu plae dis?" The man looked at Niyol's spear for a moment, nothing the unique design and immaculately polished blade. "It's a game of luck..." he lifted one of the cups to reveal a small pebble was under it. "See, I just move these cups around, and then you point to which one you think the pebble's under. Here, you give it a go." his tone was friendly, and generous sounding. [break][break] He put the one cup down and began rapidly moving his hands around, sliding the cups at a quick pace. When he stopped, Niyol said "Oh-keh, I'ma choo dis one, den." and pointed at the one in the middle. It was a trick, of course the pebble was under it. There was pebbles under all three of the cups- that's how the hustle game worked. Give them one try and make them feel good, make them wanna go again, and then you hammer them. Niyol said "Ey! Da mens I win, yeh?" The man nodded, saying "Yeah. You're pretty lucky, guy. How about we give it a try for real? I'll put up all the valis in this here bag, and you'll put up that spear of yours?" Niyol had grabbed his spear and lifted it, looking at it with an unsure gaze. "Dis 'ere wa giv to meh by de pwince's, ye-no? Meh no wan ta looz, et." He sounded genuinely unsure, as though he wasn't conning a con man. "Aww, come on... You saw it for yourself, you're lucky. A small wager that I'll probably lose is all it is." he replied. Niyol had put the spear down next to his board and said "Well... yeh. Me seem reel loki t'dae. Yu not try no trix, yeh? Reel hones game, ah." and the man said "But of course." and set his bag of coins down on top of the spear. [break][break] From there, the man's hands were moving faster than before, and Niyol almost didn't catch when he flicked his wrists to send the pebble up his sleeve. When that happened, a blue aura took over one of the pebbles and sent it flying back into the shot glass. All three were presented to Niyol and the man had a pretty smug look when it was time to choose. Niyol pointed to the one in the middle again, and the man said "Sorry, pal. Looks like- what the?" he lifted it and saw the pebble, and Niyol grabbed his bag of coins and spear. He then said, in a perfect Orarian accent, "Tell ya what... I'll give back a quarter of these and not expose your little scheme to everyone you've screwed over, and you keep your mouth shut about what just happened. Savvy?" The man realized that he just got, got and was wide eyed, clearly angry, but he agreed to it. Niyol opened the bag and dropped a handful of gold coins on the cutting board, grabbed his spear, said and walked away. [break][break] If Alura scolded Niyol for what he'd just done, Niyol would say "He was gonna try doing the same to you, and he'd done it to countless others before, so I just returned the favor." If Alura had asked about what had just happened, Niyol would say "It's a game that doesn't take much imagination to make, so I figured someone here would try doing it. The game takes advantage of your inner desire to take risks. First, you have something with a small, easily concealed object under it and have someone guess the right one. Could be three cups, five bowls, or twenty urns- it all has the same result. First, you let them win. Then, you get them to make a massive investment and make it so all of those easily concealed objects vanish. In this case, he put the rocks in his sleeve. All I did was use magic to move a rock back and keep track of it- a simple trick when you're not having to focus much." [break][break] Regardless of if either happened, Niyol would say "That guy wasn't too bright, but he did help me with figuring a good nickname for you. Crimson Princess, it's fitting. You're certainly beautiful enough to be one." His tone would be nonchalant, as though giving girls that kind of compliment was a normal, everyday thing. "So, my lady, where would I go to find some cloth? Preferably silk, but cotton's fine, too." [break][break] While walking, Niyol would say "You had mentioned that you helped your dad with his forge. Any chance you could teach me some stuff?" Niyol would then hold up his spear and say "See this? It's not actually a spear. It's a broken weapon, made out of the same metal as these chains. Because of the spell required to make this, the only other person who can repair it is back home." If Alura had asked what kind of spell it was, Niyol would say "Your language doesn't have a proper translation; but, the spell to make this metal binds an especially powerful soul to the steel. Only those with a stronger soul can break it, and only those with a similar soul to the caster can properly work it or tap into its power. My father made it for me- a scythe. He told me that it was the most illogical weapon a man could wield, made for the most illogical son a man could raise. He also said that he was proud to have made both; so, I'm very disinclined to throw it away." Niyol would then put the spear back on his back and stop walking to look Alura in the eyes. "You seem trustworthy, so I'll make you a deal. You teach me to work a forge, and I'll give you ONE straight answer, and maybe some magic training- if it's possible." He then extended his hand to shake her's, signifying a proper deal to be struck. If Alura shook his hand, Niyol would say "Think hard on that question, you only get one." [attr="class","ALPpostwrap"] It didn’t take long for the adventurer to find the slums an unattractive place to be. Within minutes of arriving in the back alley’s, she was already addressed and hollered at, causing the woman to sneer in disgust. This kind of degenerate was the one Niyol was looking for, though she didn’t know what he planned to do with the grechin. [break][break] Alura crossed her arms and merely watched as Niyol prompted the geezer into playing his game. What did he aim to get out of it? To win money perhaps? Apparently Niyol was pretty lucky, or at least ‘seemed’ to be. She watched as the ante was increased, and her new friend called the strangers bluff. She had to stay herself from busting up in laughter. [break][break] With an explanation, she smirked, nodding her head as she appreciated how Niyol pulled that off. In an imaginary world, that man might have learned his lesson, but in reality, he will likely continue scamming those too gullible otherwise. [break][break] “Fine, but the nickname is exclusive to you alone,” she responded, cheeks burning at his compliment as she made sure not to make eye contact. [break][break] “All the good stores are in the tower of babel, and we can likely find something suiting there for you. The prices range heavily depending on the apprentice that made them,” she answered, pointing at the large tower in the center of the city. Inside was levels and level of shops monitored by the guild. [break][break] Looking at his weapon, she hardly saw how it resembled a scythe, but wouldn’t push the subject. Instead, she brushed her hair behind her ear and pondered on his question. “I wasn’t taught much. I can show you how to properly heat a forge to the correct temperature, and work the metal, but anything close to fashioning a weapon in shape is beyond me. There are a few smith’s that work exclusively with the familia and they might be better suited to help you.”[break][break] “If my small bit of knowledge can help you, I will cash out on that question at a later date. I have a feeling I want to save it for a more important time,” she said, smirking in his direction, “Whether I like if or not, I think we are stuck working with each other for a while.--Let’s go.”She commented before walking towards the center tower, where they would be able to take an elevator up. Alura had agreed to teach Niyol what she knew, which she admitted wasn't much, and Niyol had agreed to answer a question of her's seriously. It was a done deal and neither side, especially Niyol, would be able to back out of it. With that, the two of them had went to the Tower of Babel, which was evidently the name of that giant ass tower in town. When they got there, Niyol looked up and let out a slow whistle. "That's a big building." he commented. [break][break] Walking forward towards it, Niyol joked, saying "Pretty convenient- being able to grab a shoddy weapon and die just a few levels down." Which was probably exactly what happened on numerous occasions. Someone got a blade for cheap, and that blade ended up failing them at the worst possible moment. He'd follow Alura to the elevator and then over to a place where they were selling silk in various colors, some with patterns on it. "Yeah, this'll do." he said while looking at shelves upon shelves, and countless spools of silk and other non-metal materials. The ones he had chosen was a large sheet of red and black, with smaller sheets of black, orange, gold, and blue. [break][break] While he was talking with the shop owner and getting ready to pay, his eyes had landed on a hair ornament that looked like a maple leaf. He had requested that, that item be added and proceeded to pay for it. After that, he had a couple hundred valis left, and had informed Alura that he was done with his day's shopping. One hand holding the bag of cloth, the other keeping his reluctant pet held against his chest- Niyol was ready to return to Izanami's house. While walking, Niyol would say "When we get back, I'll get to working on my robes. There's a lot of planning I have to think of, so I'll probably not be out till tomorrow. Would you be okay with meeting me here?" [attr="class","ALPpostwrap"] It was hard to laugh at his humorous quip, as it was the truth. Nearly everyday there was a rumor of a novice adventurer being killed by underestimating the labyrinth underneath the city. She was lucky to work as a supporter to understand the dangers of the dungeon before going in solo. [break][break] The elevator ride wasn't long, and while he shopped, --in a surprisingly quick manner, Alura stood in the hallway admiring the windows of shops here and there. With his cloth and 'pet' in hand he was finally ready to return to the house to which she was ecstatic. While their afternoon had been interesting, she was in need of some dinner and knew the chefs were preparing something fine. [break][break] "You go on ahead, I am sure you know your way back," she said, the elevator dinging and letting them out onto the ground floor, "I can meet you here tomorrow morning, bright and early," Alura finished before turning and walking away. Bye Bye Wonder boy. [break][break] [EXIT] [attr="class","ALPtag"] NIYOL
