0.8 DUNGEON INFO
[attr="class","MIsubheaderbox"] [attr="class","MIsubheadertxt"]
please read all information thoroughly
+ THE DUNGEON [attr="class","MItxtbox"] The Dungeon is a legendary labyrinthine complex under the the Tower of Babel in Orario. Separated into an unknown number of "floors", its overseen by The Adventuring Guild that ensures the survival and success of the many adventurers drawn to explore its secrets. The dungeon is enormous and each floor gets progressively larger as you go further down. Monsters of every type imaginable reside in the dungeon, ambushing adventurers and defending their home against the Children of the Gods. The Dungeon is considered by most a living thing in and of itself: A pseudo-intelligent structure capable of self-repair, determined to some day overthrow the burden of its divine shackles and let loose its demonic hordes upon the surface. Fortunately, as long as adventurers are willing to risk their lives in pursuit of treasure and glory, the Dungeon will be kept at bay. Always remember that the dungeon is a dangerous place that many, even the most vigilant of adventurers, lose their lives within its dark twisting depths.
+ EXPLORING THE DUNGEON [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Adventurers wishing to explore the dungeon enter on the first floor of Babel after registering with the guild. The Guild will oftentimes help advise adventurers as to which floors they should limit themselves too, usually suggesting that you never go too deep, having classified sections of the floors by their difficulty. The most shallow floors are generally the easiest, though as you go deeper, they do of course get more challenging. Most wouldn't recommend delving into the middle floors until reaching level 3, and the deepest floors shouldn't be delved into until level 5 or 6.[break][break] In any thread that you are in the Dungeon, monster spawn is decided by the players, but loot is determined by Staff. At the end of your thread, place a link to your thread in HERE for staff to grade and determine the amount of Crystals you get. You may hold onto those crystals, or convert them into Valis immediately in the EXCHANGE. + RAIDING THE DUNGEON [attr="class","MItxtbox"] While usually a Dungeon Thread can be pretty straight forward, sometimes there are special circumstances that can help spice it up. Usually these features can be added to a thread without any player or staff member writing exclusively as the other elements of a dungeon. Sometimes only one player will control these extraneous elements in addition to controlling their own characters, and other times control can be shared by all players in the thread. [break][break] Not all adventurers are writers on our site, and it's very likely you'll encounter at least one NPC adventurer during your time in the dungeon. Even though they are not monsters, they can be just as dangerous if they are willing to exploit the wild nature of the Dungeon. At best, they can help you get past a rare encounter or mini-boss. And at worst they will be out to get you or your other party members, or can cause accidents such as a Pass Parade. ( A pass parade is an encounter that happens when a group of Adventurers causes one or more monsters to attack you or your party instead of themselves, usually while fleeing or set up as a trap. ) [break][break] A Mini-Boss is equivalent to a floor-boss, except they are optional and not required to advance to the next floor. They are usually a little stronger than the floor-boss of the same floor, but easier to escape from and rarely summon other monsters during their fights. A rare encounter is a unique monster that will never respawn, usually one who survived or even helped defeat a group of adventurers and grew more powerful over time. Like Floor Bosses, Staff Plays a Mini Boss and must be requested in the Request Board. [break][break] A floor boss is a monster that must be defeated in order for adventurers to pass to the next floor of the dungeon.They are powerful and oftentimes spawn other monsters during the fight, but will always grant some form of reward if defeated. They are very difficult to escape from, but can usually be encountered as the only encounter of the thread. The first time each Floor Boss is encountered on our site is something of an event. A member of Staff will play as the Floor Boss and if the party successfully defeats it, they are almost guaranteed a special reward.
