0.3 POWER INFO
[attr="class","MIsubheaderbox"] [attr="class","MIsubheadertxt"]
please read all information thoroughly
+ General [attr="class","MItxtbox"] In the World of Dan Machi, characters develop skills alongside wielding powerful magic spells to gain power and destroy opponents. Here on Myth, players are able to create their own abilities, both skills and spells, to fit their character as they level up. [break][break]
+ Abilities [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Specifically, there are BASIC ABILITIES, which are your kick, punch, stab, slash, fire into abilities. These do not need to be mapped into your character app, as they are expected of an adventurer, so that they may defeat and fend off monsters within the Dungeon. There will be characters that are more novice in basic abilities than others, especially all low levels. Developmental Abilities and Skills can increase the efforts of basic abilities to make them more powerful.
[break][break] developmental abilities appear at every level up. Developmental abilities are different from basic abilities in the sense that they are characteristics specializing in a certain area. An example is Welf Crozzo's blacksmith ability, which enabled him to add special abilities to his creations. Or, Chloe Rollo's Escape ability, which increased her speed when running away. Alot of Developmental abilities are repeated in many different adventurers, though some are rare and unique per person. [break][break] Skills on the other hand can correct and strengthen specific basic abilities, magic, and actions. The chance of discovering a skill is said to be rare, and skills with effects that no one else has are considered to be rare skills. Skills can be obtained by level up, by event reward or by special purchase in the store. An Example of a skill is; Ryuu Lion's Fairy Serenade, Increases the effects of magic. Effect rises at night. [break][break]
+ SPELLS AND MAGIC [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Magic is the main form of combat utilized by mages and by those who have manifested it in their Blessing. Magic is considered to be a strong power. There are two different types of magic; Congenital Magic, magic based from one's own ability and race, and Acquired Magic, magic based on the blessing given by the Gods and Goddesses. Most spells require a specific chant to activate, with the exception of No Chant Magic like Firebolt, and the longer the chant the stronger the magic is. Magic (a spell) is the only ability that can be started with upon character creation. [break][break] To balance spell casting, we have a limit on how many spells can be casted in a single thread. After casting one extra spell in your thread, your character will pass out with Mind Zero and be vulnerable, (the caster falls unconscious). [break][break] LEVEL 1 - You have access to 1 spell that can be casted 2 times in a thread. [break][break] LEVEL 2 - You have access to 2 spells. 2 usages at full strength per thread. 4 usages at level 1 strength per thread. [break][break] LEVEL 3 - You have access to 3 spells. 2 usages at full strength per thread. 4 usages at level 2 strength per thread. 6 usages at level 1 strength per thread. [break][break] LEVEL 4 - You have access to 4 spells. 2 usages at full strength per thread. 4 usages at level 3 strength per thread. 6 usages at level 2 strength per thread. 8 usages at level 1 strength per thread. [break][break] LEVEL 5 - You have access to 5 spells. 2 usages at full strength per thread. 4 usages at level 4 strength per thread. 6 usages at level 3 strength per thread. 8 usages at level 2 strength per thread. 10 usages at level 1 strength per thread. [break][break] LEVEL 6 - You have access to 6 spells. 2 usages at level 6 strength per thread. 4 usages at level 5 strength per thread. 6 usages at level 4 strength per thread. 8 usages at level 3 strength per thread. 10 usages at level 2 strength per thread. 12 usages at level 1 strength per thread. [break][break][break] NOTE: It is possible to receive more spell slots, however this does not increase your spell usage per thread.
+ ABILITIES AND CHARACTER CREATION [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Most players will start at level one, and will not possess any Developmental Abilities. However, a player can start with a single magic spell OR a single skill, that will be reviewed with the apping process. Skills, Abilities, and Spells must be created and approved before being rp'd. You will have the chance to create a spell or skill upon character creation, but further gained abilities will be created HERE. [break][break] With each level up, characters will gain a developmental ability slot, and every other level up a character will obtain a skill. Spells are gained every level up, or by reading a grimoire from event rewards or shop purchase. [break][break] All abilities created must be descriptive. We ask that members use common sense when creating abilities and respect all staff member feedback. + EQUIPMENT [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Here on Myth, equipment is separated by rarity. Starter, Common, Rare, and Mythic. Prices for this equipment are in the shop and available for purchase. New characters begin with starter level equipment.[break]
+ Crafting info [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Being a fantasy setting, it makes sense that items and equipment are taken into consideration. With the inclusion of craftsmanship in the application, it allows for players to be able to create items for their characters. The process is not complicated and does not require much from the player other than effort already made. [break][break] Equipment is already separated into rarity tiers 'Common, Rare and Mythic', and the ability to create these items stems from the players given Craftsmanship skill. Below is more information on the crafting process and rules.
+ the process [attr="class","MItxtbox"] To craft, certain requirements have to be met. These requirements are: - High enough craftsmanship skill
- proper materials
- and needed Skill for magic items
[break][break][break] THE CRAFTSMANSHIP SKILL refers to the percentage bar that is filled out on the character application. This skill can be increased with 'Crafting threads' OR by actually completing a staff approved craft. The percentage increase is determined by staff upon review. [break][break] While it's true that crafting the weakest of items continuously will provide a firm foundation of crafting knowledge, you must be just as adventurous in your artisan endeavors as you are in your combat ones. There will come a point at which crafting Common Items is fruitless, and you are unable to learn anything at all from doing so. This will be your half-way point, 50% to the end of your mastery of the imaginative arts, and the point at which you will need to craft Rare Items to further your advancement. [break][break] For those with low crafting ability, 0-49% on your character sheet, you will be limited to crafting the weakest of items. These are called 'Common' rarity, and are made from Common Drops, obtained from dungeon monsters. Individuals who devote themselves to crafting even further, 50-94%, will be rewarded with the ability to craft Rare Items with the rare drops they obtain. Lastly, those who have gone the distance and fully given their lives to crafting, 95%-100%, can create Mythic Tier items. [break][break] On top of having the needed skill percentage, a player must also have a drop item they can use to craft into an item. ON THE MONSTER LIST, THERE ARE COMMON AND RARE DROPS. The player has to have a drop item of equal tier to craft the needed item. MYTHIC ITEMS ARE CREATED BY USING TWO RARE DROPS, AND THE PLAYER MUST BE LEAST LEVEL 4.[break][break] Standard crafting is one thing; but, there's an entirely different realm of crafting that not many are able to experience. Magic Items are items imbued with magical properties, which not all craftsmen are able to create. This special branch of crafting requires a Developmental Ability or a Skill to enable it. [break][break] Once all of these requirements are met, a player may fill out a form in the armory and get staff approval. There are many different kinds of items that can be made. From consumables to equipment. In the creation form, the player can describe their item being made and any effect(s) it may have. Staff has the right to deny equipment being forged given a proper reason.
