Can I make a custom race? The answer is no. While we may be AU? We are trying to be canon lore friendly. Meaning that the available races ARE the available races. It may be possible to suggest one to staff and see if it might be implemented, however all apps must pick one of the available races. Also, you may not play a dungeon monster.
Can I play a god? Yes gods are available for play, however they are a limited position and all wip gods must be pre-approved by staff. Being a god comes with some responsibility in the role.
Can I create a familia without being a god? No, we are sticking to the lore friendly idea that gods created familias of all the children (mortals) they bless with their power.
Do I have to join a familia? Yes. If a character doesn't join a familia, they do not possess the blessing and will not be allowed into the dungeon by the guild association. In other words, you would be a normal citizen.
Can citizen's join familias? Not technically no, however they can support familias in other ways. They can be seen as allies, however they will not be seen as part of the familia.
Minimum Character Age? We do not have a definite minimum character age, we only ask that members act appropriate in both rp threads and out of character to not risk going against proboards terms of service.
Passage of time? It's fluid time here on Myth, but we ask that members are realistic. There is no way that a character can be in two places at one, so if events are happening at the same time, characters can not be at both places.
Is the Forum Death Enabled? It an adventuring rp, so yes. While death from both npc's and pc's can happen, that is only the result from personal choice. Death can only happen from permission. Your characters life is completely in your control. However, death enabled events can happen, in which character actions are taken into consideration.

TERMINOLGY
[attr="class","MIsubheaderbox"] [attr="class","MIsubheadertxt"]
please read all information thoroughly
+ general [attr="class","MItxtbox"] Throughout the dan machi canon material, several terms and terminology is used. For members that have yet to read or watch the series, or dont plan on it, these terms can prove to be difficult. For convenience, this is a canon list of terms that are used frequently. Credit to the Wiki. [break][break] - Valis: Valis is the currency used in Orario. The symbol for valis is a v with two lines through it.
- Magic Stone/Crystals: Magic Stones are the core of monsters and are always located in the chest area of the monster. Adventurers and Supporters gather magic stones to trade them in for valis at the Guild. Magic Stones have magical power in them that can be used for things such as lighting, water purification, cooking stoves, refrigerators, and other things. If one breaks the Magic Stone while in the monster, the monster immediately dies.
- Drop Item: Drop Items are items that can sometimes remain along with the Magic Stone after a monster dies. They are parts of the dead monster and are used to make weapons and items and therefore are traded at high prices.
- Alias: An alias is a second name given to all adventurers during the Denatus by the Gods once they reach Level 2. An alias can potentially change every time an adventurer levels up.
- Three Great Quests: The three great quests are for the subjugation of the Behemoth, Leviathan, and the One Eyed Black Dragon. Currently none of the quests have been defeated, though it is rumored that one family got close to killing the Behemoth.
- Familia: Familia are made up of adventurers and supporters headed by a God or Goddess. They are named after the God or Goddess in charge, such as Izanami being the head of the Izanami Familia. Most Familia are exploration type Familia, though there are other types such as business type, industrial type, medicinal type, and even nation type. Each Familia is given a rank ranging from I to S based on size and achievements, which is taken into account in determining how much money each Familia has to pay the Guild during their monthly taxes.
- God/Goddess: The Gods and Goddesses started to come down to the lower world from heaven 1000 years ago. Some were around since then, and some only recently came down. They are forbidden to use their powers, known as Arcanum, and have the same physical abilities as normal people. While not a part of their Arcanum, Gods and Goddess emit an aura known as divinity that allows others to recognize them as such, and there are certain Gods that are able to completely hide it to blend in with normal people. A God's divinity seemingly has a color, and it can be sensed across Orario if a God releases it in the upper floors of the dungeon. If any God or Goddess break the rules, they are forcibly sent back to Heaven.
- Blessing/Falna: Falna is the grace given by Gods and Goddesses to their Familia members. Adventurers and supporters can gather excellia to raise their status and grow stronger. The Gods and Goddesses gave the falna to adventurers to bring forth heroes, and the first God to give out a falna was Ouranos.
- Guild: The Guild is an organization that manages Familia within Orario and provides services to adventurers.
- Denatus: The Denatus is a meeting of the Gods held once every three months. Many things are discussed and aliases are given to adventurers that ranked up.
- War Game: A War Game is a battle between Familia with set rules. The Gods and Goddesses use their Familia members to express their will, similar to a proxy war. A special Denatus is held to set rules and decide on what type the War Game will be along with what the winner would receive. The God or Goddess that loses in a War Game must obey the terms set during the Denatus without question. Various types of War Game include Single Combat, Siege, and various others.
- Conversion: Conversions happen when a person switches from one Familia to another. Once a person switches Familia, they must wait a year before switching back or switching to a different Familia.
- Mission: Missions are quest like orders given out by the Guild. The Familia that receive them must do as written.
- Status: The Status is the Blesssing/Falna set as various parameters. The status is made up from Basic Abilities, Development Abilities, Magic, Skills, and the overall Level.
- Level: A level shows the rank of an adventurer. The status of an adventurer is considered to be secret information but the level of an adventurer is required to be reported and is shown to others. Most adventurers are Level 1. Just defeating monsters doesn't lead to a level up. To level up, one must accomplish something that even the Gods would be impressed with, such as defeating a stronger monster. Leveling up is hard to do outside of Orario due to the only Dungeon being located there, and Level 3 outside of Orario is considered to be excellent.
- Basic Abilities: see THIS THREAD
- Development Abilities: see THIS THREAD
- Skills: see THIS THREAD
- Magic: see THIS THREAD
- Curses: Unlike magic, curses are primarily used to hinder an opponent, such as confusing, binding, or sharing pain with an opponent, though like magic they are cast through a chant. All curses require a cost from the user in exchange for their power, which is a key point in differentiating between magic and curses.
- Ignis Fatuus: An Ignis Fatuus occurs when the user becomes unable to control the magical power when using magic and the magic self destructs after letting it go out of control.
- Concurrent Chanting: A high level technique involving casting magic while fighting or moving around. Its difficulty is likened to dealing with a bomb with both hands while fighting due to the chance of failing a chant or not being able to control their own magic power. Skill at using concurrent chanting depends on how much experience the user has with it (skill use attribute).
- Chant Connection: A technique that only few are able to use. Chant connection enables the caster to change the strength of their magic based on the chant length and mind usage. Through this they are able to use several magics consecutively.
- Beastification: Beastification is a process only a certain number of Beast Humans have been seen using, enabling them to unleash their wild instinct and power, or in other words growing stronger by becoming violent. The trigger for a Werewolf to beastify is being under moonlight and all Werewolves are known to have the associated skill.
- Monster: Monsters are born from the walls and ceilings of the dungeon and fight adventurers. They are the enemies of the people and will attack without any warning. Monsters appeared from the dungeon even before the Gods and Goddesses came from Heaven and some still live on the surface in various places, however monsters on the surface use the power of their magic stone to multiply, and so those on the surface are far weaker than the same ones inside the Dungeon.
- Monster Rex: The Monster Rex is an especially powerful monster that only appear on certain floors. The stronger the Monster Rex is, the longer it takes for it to respawn. A Monster Rex can also be referred to as a Floor Boss
- Landform or Nature Weapon: Things in the Dungeon that monsters are able to use as weapons. This can be rocks or trees that will change shape in the hands of the monster.
- Pantry: Certain rooms on a floor where monsters gather to eat. It contains a huge quartz pillar that secretes a substance which monsters enjoy. The pantries on the 7th and 20th floors use green quartz while the pantry on the 24th floor uses red quartz.
- Unexplored Area: Unexplored Areas are places that aren't listed on the maps of the various Dungeon floors. Also known as Frontier. Currently the floors above 30 are unexplored.
